Our Name
Zoe is a small Greek word with a big meaning. Simply put, Zoe means life. However, it captures more than just the idea of living or being alive. Zoe actually refers to a kind of life that is eternal or never-ending — divine life, you might even call it.
We chose the name Zoe because of its powerful underlying meaning. At Zoe Behavioral Health we believe that everyone deserves to live their own divine life. If substance abuse or mental health issues are keeping you from finding your Zoe, we can help. Our personalized intensive outpatient services and recovery care plans could be the missing ingredient to a better you.
Our Activities
Although substance abuse treatment is serious, Zoe addiction treatment center in Lake Forest CA believes that it doesn’t have to be boring or uninteresting. That’s why we work hard to make treatment fun through the inclusion of activities in our care plans. For example, outdoor therapy is a major part of what we do. It provides the opportunity to enjoy the beauty of Southern California while still working towards your recovery goals.
In addition to outdoor therapy, we also offer regular outdoor activities for you to enjoy. These include hikes, beach walks, yoga, and more. You can even work with our on-site nutritionist to fine-tune your diet and maximize your recovery. It’s another way that we’re making outpatient care that better suits your needs.

Frequently Asked Questions
If you’ve never gone through a rehab program before, you may find the prospect daunting. However, there’s really nothing to worry about. In fact, rehab is typically a much more relaxing and enjoyable process than most people anticipate it being before they begin.
The time you spend in outpatient rehab will be time spent working on yourself, free from the distractions of your everyday life. Your days will consist of addiction treatment, therapy, connecting with other patients, and participating in regular outdoor activities with the Zoe Behavioral Health team. You can even take long walks on the beautiful Southern California coast while you’re with us.
Rehab isn’t without its challenges. However, that doesn’t mean you should avoid it. Instead, consider the positive aspects of rehab and focus on how much completing it will improve your life.
At Zoe Behavioral Health, we provide outpatient rehabilitation services. This means that you won’t have to spend weeks or months living within the confines of a medical facility. However, we do ask that you commit to working with us during the daytime.
You can expect programs like our intensive outpatient program (IOP) and partial hospitalization program (PHP) to last about 90 days. During that time, you should expect to spend between 20 and 30 hours a week working on your recovery at our treatment center.
Both inpatient and outpatient rehab programs are highly effective ways to recover from substance abuse. However, there are some differences between these two options that are worth considering.
Most importantly, inpatient rehab requires patients to live at a treatment facility full-time. Conversely, outpatient rehab lets patients sleep in their own beds at night. This means that an outpatient option is usually a better choice if you prefer to maintain some of your freedom while in rehab. That being said, inpatient care can be a better option for individuals who are looking for more structure in their rehab program.
